Yes. You must completely remove the folding plastic factory storage tray mechanism and the OEM subwoofer assembly (if equipped) to let the shell sit entirely flush against the floor.

The loaded premium 13TW5v2-2 driver features a single voice coil configuration pre-wired directly to the external terminal cup to output a stable 2-ohm mono load.
- • How much continuous RMS amplifier power handling can this low-profile sub safely take?
The speaker handles up to 600 watts continuous RMS. For clean dynamics and optimal headroom on the trails, pair it with a monoblock amp pushing 500W to 600W RMS at 2 ohms.

No. JL Audio designed the sloped lines of the fiberglass structure so that seat folding, flipping, and passenger comfort remain completely unhindered and function like stock.
- • Why does the low-end bass signal cut out or sound hollow when I turn the volume up?
The factory Ford Sync head unit uses aggressive internal equalization that strips out low frequencies at higher volumes to protect stock speakers. An active integration processor or DSP is required to feed a flat signal.
